The Benediction – our concluding thoughts

As our time of being together in spirit
with our neighbour, our family and our friends
and with God, the creator, draws to a close,
may we embrace the challenges
of our lives and our world.

As we go now in peace to claim the life of Christ in our midst,
may the earth be warm under our feet,
the rain bring the gentle flowers of the season,
once more giving light and colour to our world;
and, may the wind blow as the breath of the Spirit
onto our backs, urging us forward.

When we explore the mystery
of compassion permeating our universe
may we discover that the cosmos has a soul.

May the God of yesterday, today, and tomorrow
be with us all. Amen

End music

Last week during the "Virtual Cuppa" time there was a discussion on the story of the "Prodigal Son", and meanings of the word "prodigal", which led to Walter mentioning that he and his brother released music under the name "The Prodigal Sounds". Also, if you like, you may hear rushing water in the arpeggios at the beginning and end of this piece.
