Today in the Church Calendar we recognise the life and witness of St Francis of Assisi. The prayer of St Francis is well known in our Christian tradition and often as sung in the hymn ‘Make me a channel of your peace’. Today our variation on this is James Quinn’s 1969 ‘Lord make us servants of your peace’.  As a Roman Catholic priest James Quinn wrote a number of hymns that are widely used in the Christian community.  I invite everyone to sing along with this setting.
