Prayer - Greg
Today, God, there are lessons to learn in this unfolding wonder that is life.
We thank you for the affirmation that sustains us even as we acknowledge challenges and uncertainties that stress and stretch us.
We’re aware of complex, unjust and damaging situations that threaten the wellbeing of families, communities and nations.
Sometimes such conditions feel very close to home.
We are grateful that the reflections that arise from engaging with the stories and expressions of faith support us to be the presence of light when it is dark:
listening to the anguish of others,
speaking comfort where there is hurt,
showing kindness into the fear that constrains liberty.
We are forgiving and being forgiven.
Being heard.
Receiving comfort when we grieve.
Knowing and sharing kindness in unexpected ways.
Call again to us now, and we awaken,
we arise at the sound of our name. So it is. Amen.
