Let justice roll down like a river,                    Justice for all who go hungry,

            let justice roll down to the sea,                      crying to God to be fed,

            let justice roll down like a river,                     left in a world of abundance

            let justice begin through me.                         to beg for a morsel of bread.

            Justice for those who are homeless,              Justice for all who are powerless,

            victims of warfare or need,                             yearning for freedom in vain,

            trapped on the borders of nowhere,              plundered and robbed of their birthright,

            lost in the canyons of greed.                          silently bearing their pain.
