The law of God is perfect,
refreshing the soul;
the words of God are sure,
and give wisdom to the simple;
the justice of God is righteous,
and gives light to the eyes;
the fear of God is clean,
and endures for ever;
the judgements of God are true,
and just in every way.

So they dance as the stars of the universe,
perfect as the parabolas of comets,
like satellites and planets in their orbits,
reliable and constant in their courses.
Just in every way, enduring for ever.

The wisdom of God – more to be desired than gold,
sweeter than syrup and honey from the comb.
And by her is your servant taught,
in the very keeping of her there is great reward.
Rejoicing the heart, giving light to the eyes.
